Transportation

Word of Life can provide transportation from the following locations to our camps:
Airplane -Word of Life provides roundtrip van shuttle service from Albany International Airport for $40
roundtrip on Saturdays and $50 roundtrip on any other day.
Bus - Adirondack Trailways makes frequent stops at the Bus Station in Schroon Lake, New York.
How to request transportation: If your camper needs round-trip van shuttle service from Albany International Airport or the Pottersville Bus Station, please call (518) 494-1494 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays or e-mail bhess@wol.org to give advance notice. Please have your flight information ready when you call. A Word of Life staff member will meet your camper.
Campers can give their return tickets to the camp office until departure time.

Keeping in Touch

 Telephone Calls: Please limit calls to campers to emergencies only. The office can be reached by calling (518) 532-7113 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. A message will be taken, your camper informed and they may return your call. No calls after 10 p.m. unless it is an extreme emergency (i.e. death in the family).

Cell Phones: As of Summer 2010, cell phones will not be permitted during camp. In case of emergencies exceptions can be made by Counselors or Unit Leaders.
